Why Care Ready exists

Important details are hardest to gather when stress is highest.

During a missing-person, wandering, elopement, reported-abduction, or medical emergency, caregivers may be asked for many details at once. Care Ready makes preparation part of everyday care.

It organizes caregiver-provided information so it can be reviewed and shared clearly when public-safety professionals need it.

Care Ready prepares the information.Public-safety authorities make the decisions.

A clear, three-part model

Prepared in calm moments.
Useful in difficult ones.

Care Ready separates information that changes slowly from details that belong to a specific moment.

01Prepare

Ready Profile

During calm moments, maintain current photos, identification, medical information, communication needs, calming methods, safety risks, and emergency contacts.

Information that is ready before it is urgently needed.
02Capture

Incident Capture

Select the person and incident type, then record only what is current or unique to the event: what happened, when and where, clothing, symptoms, or immediate dangers.

Record what you remember right now.
03Share

Incident Brief

Care Ready combines current incident details with the existing profile to create a structured, caregiver-prepared brief that can be shown on the phone or intentionally shared as a PDF, by email, device transfer, QR, or nearby-device method where supported.

Clear information, prepared for the moment it matters.

“Unknown” is always acceptable. Record only what you personally remember or observed. Accurate details can help first responders safely locate and assist the person in danger.

Emergency readiness

One profile.
The current moment.
A clearer handoff.

For an abduction, elopement, wandering, missing-person event, medical emergency, or immediate safety concern, Care Ready helps a caregiver capture what is known now and pair it with information already prepared.

Care Ready does not require families to create an account or send personal care information to Synodos Path. Ready Profiles and incident information remain on the caregiver’s device unless the caregiver intentionally chooses to share them.

Synodos Path does not know who the caregiver supports, what information is entered, or when the app is used.

For first responders

A consistent caregiver-prepared brief. No new system required.

Care Ready is designed for the moment a caregiver and a responder meet in the field. Law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, dispatch, schools, clearinghouses, and care organizations may simply encounter a clear brief on a caregiver’s phone or as a shared document.

Responder authority remains unchanged

The information remains caregiver supplied unless otherwise identified. Responders retain full investigative, classification, decision-making, and verification authority.

Missing and Endangered Person–compatible

Prepared information can support an assessment. It does not make one.

Care Ready does not decide whether an incident qualifies for an AMBER Alert, Silver Alert, Spectrum Alert, Purple Alert, Missing and Endangered Person alert, or any other official public notification. Alert names and criteria vary by jurisdiction.

It organizes caregiver-provided information that may help law enforcement assess the incident and determine the appropriate investigative or public-alert response.

THE BRIEF MAY STATEIncident reported by caregiver: Abduction

This language records the caregiver’s report without implying an official law-enforcement classification.

Who Care Ready serves

Built around care needs,
not labels.

Care Ready can help families across ages, diagnoses, living arrangements, and types of support.

Young children

Parents preparing information for children who may become separated, lost, or need urgent care.

Autistic people

Families supporting autistic children or adults, including communication, sensory, and calming needs.

People with disabilities

Caregivers of people with intellectual, developmental, or other disabilities.

Older adults

Families caring for someone with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or memory impairment.

Inside the proof of concept

Two paths. Clear choices. Information matched to the moment.

These working POC screens show how a caregiver moves from a Ready Profile into either an everyday care handoff or an emergency review. The interface and wording may continue to evolve before release.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers.
No fine print.

Care Ready’s purpose and boundaries should be as easy to understand as the application itself.

What is Synodos Care Ready?

A free, private mobile application that helps caregivers prepare, maintain, and intentionally share information that may help someone respond safely during an emergency or care handoff.

Who is it for?

Families and caregivers responsible for a child or adult who may become missing, wander, elope, experience a suspected abduction, or face a medical or safety emergency.

Is it only for autism or dementia?

No. Care Ready is not limited to a diagnosis, age, or family type. It is designed around care and safety needs.

Does Care Ready contact 911?

No. Care Ready does not contact emergency services or transmit information automatically. Contact 911 or the appropriate emergency service immediately when someone is missing or in danger.

Does it track the person receiving care?

No. Care Ready is not a tracking or surveillance service.

Does Synodos see the information entered in the app?

No. Ready Profiles and incident information remain on the caregiver’s device unless the caregiver intentionally chooses to share them.

Does this website track visitors?

No. This website uses no visitor analytics, advertising trackers, tracking cookies, session recording, fingerprinting, or behavioral profiling. Synodos Path does not create visitor profiles. The hosting infrastructure may process limited technical request data needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.

Is an account required?

No. There is no Synodos account or login.

Is information stored in the cloud?

Not by Synodos Path. Care Ready does not use a Synodos cloud or database for profile and incident information.

Can information be shared with first responders?

Yes. A caregiver can show the brief on the phone or intentionally share it as a PDF, by email, or through supported device-sharing methods.

Does Care Ready issue AMBER or Silver Alerts?

No. Public-safety authorities determine whether an incident meets local criteria for any official alert. Care Ready organizes caregiver-provided information that may support that assessment.

What if the Ready Profile is not completely current?

The caregiver can confirm or replace details during Incident Capture. It is okay not to know every answer, and “Unknown” is always acceptable.

Why are there non-emergency sharing options?

Routine use helps keep profiles current, builds familiarity, and reduces the cognitive burden of reviewing and sharing information during a real emergency.

Is the app free?

Yes. Care Ready is intended to be a free, public-serving safety resource.

Are there advertisements or in-app purchases?

No. There are no advertisements, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, and caregiver information is not monetized.

Can public-safety organizations receive introductory materials?

Yes. Introductory materials for public-safety and care organizations are planned. Organizational contact details will be published before release.

How can I report a technical problem?

A technical-support channel will be provided before release. Never include medical, identifying, emergency, or profile information in a support request.
